Das beef magazin vom ADC und Horizont präsentiert in der Ausgabe 1/2011 die besten Arbeiten der Nachwuchstalente.

Darunter auch ich und Laura mit unserem Fanzine "Schundige Männer"

(sowie unsere Freunde von zweizehn mit ihrem Projekt)

ADCs beef magazine from 1/2011 presents the best work of  "30 under 30" young talents including me and Laura with our  Fanzine "Schundige Männer"

(we're happy that our friends from zweizehn are also featured in this section)

Die Illustratorinnen Cynthia Kittler und Laura Breiling haben sich kritisch mit Klischees in Illustration, Werbung und Medien auseinandergesetzt. Dabei ist unter anderem das Fanzine "Schundige Männer" entstanden, in welchem das in Medien & Literatur oft zelebrierte Klischeeimage "romantischer Männer" ironisch hinterfragt und illustrativ interpretiert wurde. "Schundig"  bezieht sich hierbei auf die romantischen Männer in "Schundromanen" (auch "Nackenbeißer" genannt), welche eine große Palette an Klischees; von Muskelpaketen und sonnengebräunter Haut bis zu ungezähmt wilden Berufen wie Pirat; aufweisen können. Dabei blieb der Rügenwalder-Wurstjüngling genauso unverschont wie Boybands aus den neunziger Jahren oder Schlagersänger wie Hansi Hinterseer. Gedruckt wurden die Bleistift-, Gouache- und Tuschezeichnungen passenderweise auf romantisches zartrosafarbenes Papier. Das Fanzine wird bald bei Prima Publications  erscheinen und kann auf www.prima-publications.com bestellt werden.

"It’s a postcard-donation-project by Haruko Maeda and Saiko Ryusui, two students who are living in berlin.

The thoughts was, to ground some donation way what effects for long term, because the people who lost their house or whole town needs support also later, when it will be no longer reported on the news.

All the income except material cost will donated to Think the Earth Fund for the victims of earthquake and tsunami in east of japan.

As a first action we made 18 different motif of postcards with the help of 14 artists.
